Preparing Your Home For Photos
This is not an exhaustive list. Talk your agent about what is best for your property.
Declutter!
You likely have way more stuff in your home than you think. Hire a professional to help you organize and get rid of things.
Family Photos, offensive art and religious Symbols
Remove art with nudity or ask to have it photoshopped. Listings have been flagged for offensive art.
Decide if you want your family photos in the listing photos and decide if you want to keep religious symbols up. I am not offended by your religious symbols but some people might have feelings one way or another.
Valuables
If you have valuable that you don’t want on the internet I suggest removing them. We can always photoshop them out but photoshopping things out takes time and adds to the overall price of photos.
Fix Stuff
When you have decluttered and painted those chipped doorways hire a professonal stager to help you arrange your home.
If physical staging is not in the cards consider virtual staging.
Stage
Fix and repair some of the low hanging fruit. This is likely a conversation you should have with your relator about how much to repair but plan on doing some prep work ie painting, fixing leaky sink. cleaning the window. We can photoshop out things but it is just better to paint over those chipped doorways than it is to photoshop them.
Hire a Cleaner!
Clean your home as best you can and then hire a cleaner. Ask them to clean the windows! A clean window makes a big difference.
